From Whipped to Solid — A Thoughtful Shift

If you’ve loved our whipped balm in the past, you might notice a change: our jars now feature a solid tallow balm.

This shift wasn’t just practical. It was an intentional change. Solid tallow offers several benefits that allow us to serve you better:

  • You get more product in every jar (no air = more balm)
  • Solid tallow is a studier form and has greater stability in warmer climates
  • Easier to travel with, wherever life takes you
  • Less risk of melting and mess during shipping

We know change can be tender, especially when you’ve built rituals around something you love. Rest assured—the quality, purity, and our pure full-blood wagyu remain the same. Our promise hasn’t changed: to deliver skincare that’s clean, effective, and deeply rooted in care.

What’s Coming Next

For those drawn to a cool, herbal ritual, something new is arriving. Our upcoming scent blends eucalyptus and wintergreen — a crisp, icy herbal infusion designed to revive the senses and soothe the skin. These are essential oils known for their cooling, clarifying, and grounding properties, these botanicals bring a refreshing reset, perfect for winter months when your body craves extra comfort and moments of deep restoration.

This blend will mark the beginning of a new seasonal collection and will be released in limited quantities, crafted with the same care and intention as every jar before it. As always, we’re continually refining, learning, and creating, guided by what works, what heals, and what feels true.

This is one of our first blog posts, so we just want to pause and say:
Thank you. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just found us, your support means the world. We’re committed to improving, expanding, and continuing to offer skincare that is intentional, effective, and rooted in care.

With gratitude,
Mayka & the Tajima Tallow Team
Born of the land. Guided by wisdom.
